Hey Boston Check Those Standings!

Those stains from Boston pulled out a thrilling 2-1 victory over the Bombers during mondays matinee game in the Bronx, to take the final game of 2-2 series split. Whatever. Today would have been a huge win for the Yanks because a victory would have put the Sox 8 back instead of the 6 they are at now. It is what it is though. Lester was on the mound for Beantown, and he has been nothing short of terrific for them all season long. Essentially, the result of this series was a moot point for the Yankees. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. They haven't played their best ball for a few weeks now, so it could have been worse.

Tex continues to crank bomb shots out left and right. I mean, these shots have been absolutely no doubters too. Yo Daniel Bard, how does Teixeria's ass taste?

More importantly, what's the fucking deal with newly acquired Yankees Lance Berkman and Austin Kearns? You gotta think big Cash man knows how to evaluate talent by now. He's been spinning out hot trade deadline moves since he's had the job and 5 titles later I would believe it was a good move if he said he was bringing in Bill Clinton to be A.J. Burnett's personal catcher. On that note, can we hide Kim Jones and Nancy Newman, here comes Mr. "evidence is on the dress." I am a very patient fan, certainly more patient then most (ask Suessman how long I wait on big Tex in fantasy) but seriously, Berkman and Kearns look like bums. Rally killing puss cakes. I blame the rest of that 8th inning rally destruction solely on them.

Yanks have a tough 2 game set against the Texas Rangers on Tuesday and Weds. Ever since getting Cliff Lee, the Rangers have found their groove and have established themselves as one of the leagues best. Going to be phenomenal baseball these next two days.
