Glory! What a rush! Mets just shat on NL Cy Young Candidate Adam Wainright, as well as DBL-A’s fantasy team ace. Wainwright just got knocked around by one of the coldest teams in baseball but one of the best home teams in the game. 5 innings pitched and 6 earned, WOOOO EYYYY DAS WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT BOYS.
Jon Niese tossed another quality start, going 6 and only surrendering 1 earned to the rather potent Cardinal lineup, picking up the win to go 7-4 on the season and 6-2 since coming off the DL back in early June.
Met bats knocked in 8 tonight, the most runs they’ve scored in a game since the 4th of July in Washington D.C. Clutch 3-run bomb contribution from “The Quarterback” Jeff Francouer. I still say the Mets need this guy on their team. I know his bat can be sorry but he’s one of those clubhouse guys that keeps it loose and when on a roll lifts his team as well, plus his cannon arm is invaluable.
Reyes with a bomb, Beltran with a big hit. Bay not in the lineup killing rallies. Makes my nipples HARD bro!
Mets need every win they can get right now so seeing them beat around Wainwright is extremely promising. Mets are going to need to fight for their lives for the remainder of the season and they came with the grit necessary to do so. If this team is going to suck harder than Diamond Foxxx in a Brazzers’ flick while on the road, then they’re going to have to demonstrate their home field dominance every chance they get.
Johan has been moved up to go tomorrow (foiling my plans to skip work on Thursday and go to the game). He’ll be facing off against outstanding rookie Jaime Garcia. I’m going to shut my mouth and enjoy this one, as should my fellow Met fans.
LETS GO METS
