Morning Cup of Jo': 'MELO AND CP3 TO NY ??

New York Post - It was a wedding toast heard from Broadway to Bourbon Street. During Carmelo Anthony's wedding Saturday night at Cipriani's on 42nd Street, Chris Paul, the superstar New Orleans point guard, predicted a future Knicks Dream Team. Take that, LeCon. According to a person who spoke with wedding attendee Amar'e Stoudemire, Paul made the reference during a speech of a potential union of himself, Stoudemire and Anthony, saying, "We'll form our own Big 3," Paul allegedly said. Attendee Spike Lee nearly passed out at the suggestion. The Knicks may not have to wait until 2012. The Knicks have an alternate plan as they stockpile a lot of tradeable assets.

Fuck Lebron, Fuck Bosh & Fuck Wade. Knicks are on a fucking mission. I still can't get over the nauseating Heat press conference the other day, but this mornings cup of jo' should help cure what ever ailments New York fans might still be suffering from.

Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony joining forces with the newest Knick Amar'e Stoudemire? The Garden will be a rockin' !! Not to mention Spike Lee will get to open his unnecessarily loud mouth again. Pretty sure no one has seen his big mouth in prime form since the Knicks' last playoff run in 2003-04 when they got swept by America's armpit, The New Jersey Nets. How that was even possible when we had Starbury on the squad, I have no idea.

Fact of the matter is this. It's fun to get all wrapped up into the hype of these potential "Dream Teams" and big signings, but we all know what happen this year. Its more important that we realize the Knicks have a team that CAN COMPETE RIGHT NOW. Old man Donnie Walsh has constructed a team Knicks fans can be proud off, but if he really is considering bringing back the plague to general manage this team, well then all bets are off.

O and Carmelo might be a Knick sooner than you think. With Eddy Curry's expiring contract and Carmelo's desire to have security for years to come while playing for a championship contender, a midseason trade request to New York isn't that crazy.
