The British Open Update: Day 3

After three full days of Golf at St. Andrews, the British Open has been relatively uneventful. Other then some controversial wind conditions that halted play an hour on day 2, Louie Oosthuizen has held a death grip on his position as the tournaments leader heading into Sunday's final round.

The weather at the British Open is never a walk in the park, but that added element makes play more exciting, especially when seeing the top players in the world having to battle not only themselves and many other players, but also the harsh wind conditions that refused to make play any easier on these dudes. Play suspension because of wind conditions? That occurs about as much as a snow day in Hawaii.

Not much as changed. As a matter of fact, Oosthuizen has set himself up brilliantly for the final day after twirling a -3 for the round. Paul Casey is in second and 4 strokes behind the leader after a phenomenal march on day 3 with a -5.

Some notable jumps in the leader board: Germany's Martin Kaymer is back at -8 after jumping 11 places today. Sweden's Henrik Stenson is at -7 after jumping 24 places on day 3. Finally, my boy Rory McIlroy shot a -3 for the day and jumped a staggering 26 places but is still well out of reach of Oosthuizen's score.

Tiger was once again +1 for the second day in a row and is now 12 strokes behind the leader. Historically Tiger makes massive pushes on the final two days but this up hill climb just seems downright insurmountable, even for the best golfer of all time.

Phil moved up 17 places today but is still 13 strokes behind Oosthuizen. SO PHIL, WHERE THE HELL ARE YA BRO!?
