sunylok katy: These Goalie Masks are Kick Ass

Yahoo Sports - If there's been a knock on Dallas Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen, who signed a new three-year deal this summer, it's that he hasn't exactly been a model of fortitude. Groin injuries, back injuries, ankle injuries ... he's only appeared in more than 60 games in a season once since being drafted second overall in 2002.

So what better way to capture the spirit of courage, strength and steadfast confidence than by putting Chuck Norris on your new goalie mask?

Thing is, it may not even be his best mask, considering these two designs he wore in Atlanta and then upon his trade to Dallas last season:

Rocking Chuck Norris on your goalie mask is definitely a way to make a statement, especially if people think you are a fragile injury prone puss cake. I mean, the Joker mask is cool but we all know in the end Batman wins. I love Clint Eastwood but he's old now and is making films rather than taking names and kicking ass like when he was in his spry years. Sure, he dominated lives in Grand Torino, telling people to shut their fucking faces and just absorbing a barrage of bullets at the end of the film, but I doubt his ability to actually do that. Like Joe Montana so wisely pointed out, it's the movies folks.

Chuck Norris however has never stopped kicking ass. Even at age 70, Chuck could still rip off my arm with some sort of chinese named arm bar, beat me with it and force feed me my fingers while all I could do is sit there and have to accept it. I'd even thank him at the end for making me more of a man.

Personally, I'd rather Jack Bauer on my goalie helmet. He's the new age Chuck Norris, but in reality Kiefer Sutherland is a drunken party animal and probably isn't the perfect symbol for the kick ass hard-work and determination you intend on displaying for the upcoming season. Chuck however has championship belts galore and last time I checked is still snapping necks for the Delta Force. Not to mention the fitness infomercials he does, the guy is a machine.
