The Giants drafted Alford in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played all four of New York's preseason games.
Alford missed the entire 2009 season with a knee injury.
Gotta give Jay Alford some love. Recently cut from the Giants, the big guy gets back on his feet. To bad its with the Raiders, but hey ya mans is making paper. Alford's short 3 year career doesn't blow you away in the stat columns but should be remembered for laying that intense spear sack on Tom Brady in the last minute of Super Bowl XLII.
Still gives me the chills.
