Revis Keeps His Promise: Sits Out Of First Practice

Can we just pay this guy? He's the best player at his position in the entire NFL, not to mention probably the overall best player on the New York Jets. I hate holdouts like this because I just want to keep my best player happy. If he's happy, then Ryan is happy, then the fan base is happy and so on and so forth. That's how much Revis means to this Jets squad. If a deep playoff run is going to happen for this team, they need Revis Island to be open for full service. He anchors this defense, and the bottom line is they can do so much more in terms of blitz schemes and coverage packages then some of the other teams in the league JUST BECAUSE OF REVIS. That's how good he is, and how intricate he is when discussing the potential success of this team.

Pay him. I know the Jets brass has openly reached out to him on a number of occasions already, but its just fucking not enough. Make him the highest payed corner. After all, the entire New York media, as well as the coaching staff and fans alike all put Revis on this pedistal stating he's the best in the league. Honestly, thats fine because he is. But, when you make claims like this, its understandable why he now wants to see more money a season then the currently highest payed corner in Oakland's Nnamdi Asomugha. Very simple stuff. But, eventually the Jets front office needs to get the fuck off their high horse and show General Revis that hot coofy cash. Or, the Jets can just be mediocre again.

This is a no brainer. Do what needs to be done for our boy Mr. T. Do it for the kids if nothing else.
