Dick's Picks: NFL Week 4

So yea about last weeks picks, they were definitely for the birds. A 2-3 weeks is just not acceptable. Sure, with a little help from Saints kicker Garret Hartley i took a successful trip to Upset City with the Falcons but its about winning boys and we won't settle. The records right now are me (8-7) trailing Dbl-A (9-6) by 1 game. Thank god Db-A has been crushed by his Jets so many times that he keeps picking against them otherwise he'd of snagged the first 5-0 in a week for the season. Jets look hot though.

1. New York Jets at Buffalo Bills - Pick: Jets
Bills fucking suck. How the hell are they going to mount any sort of offense against the Jets defense. Fitzpatrick may have shown some glimpses last week but the Pats D is softer than a roll of Huggies. Bart Scott and Company lock down the Bills like Alcatraz. Sanchize balls out. Jets are 3-0 in the division.

2. Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles - Pick: Eagles
Vick 2.0 is the deciding factor here people. With Kolb at the helm, the Eagles are a mediocre squad but with Vick's dynamics and improved passing game the Eagles are a real contending squad. The Redskins boast a good defense and McNabb should go into Philly with a chip on his shoulder but in the end McNabb is run out of town once again. Eagles grab the NFC East by the balls.

"Dbl-A is a real asshole" - Phil Rivers

3. Arizona Cardinals at San Diego Chargers - Pick: Chargers
You're kidding me. First the Cardinals almost lose to the Rams, then they get pounded by the Falcons, then they almost lost to THE RAIDERS!?!?! Hell no. The Cardinals hopes and dreams are about to get toasted by a bolt of lightning. Chargers Defense may be lack luster but having Derek Anderson come to town is a shot at redemption. Rivers and Gates are gonna hook up like its a high school dance. No shot Philbo lets this win slip through his fingers.

4. Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers - Pick: Ravens
UPSET ALERT: Alright if the Ravens win maybe it wouldn't be the most shocking upset in the league but winning at Heinz field has to be one of the most daunting tasks in the NFL, Slim Roethlisberger or not. I made the unwise choice of picking against the Steelers at home in week 1 but I'm giving it another shot. Steelers look amazing at 3-0 but Charlie Batch torched the Bucs last week, THE BUCS! This is the Ravens and Batch is gonna be a lot less comfortable in the pocket. Close, low scoring game that Slim Roethlisberger would have made the difference in but no Big Beg means Ravens capitalize.

DREAM CRUSHER
5. Chicago Bears at New York Giants - Pick: Da Bears
O boy. Where do I start. The Giants look...unimpressive. No run game but that doesn't matter as the Bears shut down run games anyway so the air attack will have to be the game changer. I have faith that the Big Blue D will show up and keep the Bears offense in check but the question is can Eli execute the pass attack while Julius Peppers causes a ruckus for the G-Men's offensive line. I just don't think so. Eli is gonna get hit and hit hard. If they lose, people will get on Coughlin even more but like I said, let him do his job. I hope this pick is wrong.
