San Francisco @ Kansas City - Pick = Chiefs
- Two surprises on the table for us in this week 3 match up in Arrow Head Stadium. the 9er's are 0-2 when many people picked them to clean up the NFC West now that the Cardinals are Kurt Warnerless. Second surprise is KC is playing nicely thus far. But, too much sloppy play by Mike Singletary's boys in their first two games. Frank Gore has to touch the ball at least 25 times or they have no shot on the road. Plus, Kansas City is playing solid D and that should bode well for their run attack and relentless blitz combination.
Detroit @ Minnesota - Pick = Vikes
- If the Vikings start 0-3 Favre might as well just be wheel-chaired out of the Minnesota with a cane up his cornhole. All good things must come to an end, and it looks like Brett is finally showing age - finally. The assholes should have traded ANYTHING for San Diego's Vincent Jackson (who is currently holding out) because they have no deep threats right now. Easily a shit the bed on that one. But, I doubt they are losing at home to the Lions so Week 3 they should be off the shnide. If for no other reason then because they have the leagues most explosive runner in All Day Peterson.
Indy @ Denver - Pick = Colts
- If Peyton Manning's first two weeks haven't proved he's still the best quarterback in football, well the reigning MVP demonstrated that he can not only hurl a pigskin or two, but he does it was a fucking surgeon's precision. The Gmen had no chance last week against the Colts. Manning picking the secondary apart with run, play fake, deep pass combos all day. Too many weapons for the Colts, and Josh McDaniels is a huge flamer!
UPSET CITY - Chargers @ Seattle - Pick = Seahawks
- Not really sure why I'm picking this as my upset, but it's just a god damn hunch. Rivers has been fantastic in weeks 1 and 2 but now he gets a relatively tough road start against a re-energized Seattle squad. The Seahawks rank 5 in run defense so Ryan Matthews and co. might have difficulties pounding the rock. Photo finish here - it's gonna be a close one, but I'm taking Seattle @ home. BTW - 2-0 in my upset picks. Call me Captain Clutch.
New York Jets @ Miami - Pick = Dolphins
- I'm picking against my boys for the second strait week. Obviously, I was miserably wrong last week, but for real, I'm being a realistic and objective fan here. Miami has owned us in the last 3 meetings and they run the ball as effectively as any team in football with the wildcat formations. Now just throw in one of the leagues elite wide outs and the Jets - who are Revisless - most certainly will have their hands full. Miami at home by 6.
There you have it folks. Getting geared up for another lovely Sunday of Football. I don't know about the afterlife, but this one is pretty sweet...when it's football season.
