NFL Week 2 Picks With Your Boy Dbl-A

Might as well call me Dbl-Ace because after Week 1 I lead that sack of shit Suessamandzadeh 3-2 in the overall pick record. Just kidding, he's my boy and all but I'm trying to win this for the season bro. And can I get a collective tip of the cap from the Brah-spel faithful please? Picking Kansas City over San Diego was money in the bank. Nonetheless, here are my week 2 selections:

(1) New England @ New York Jets - Pick = Patriots
- If you think I'm giving up on my boys already, you're wrong. But, watching them beat themselves last week against Baltimore with penalty after penalty doesn't bode well when you have to match up with a disciplined, and super bowl tested franchise like the Pats. I hate New England so much, but I just don't see Gang Green making a complete 180 this week after such a pitiful week 1 performance. Moss shouldn't do much against Revis, but the Pats have enough weapons like Welker to expose the Jets secondary in man to man situations.

(2) Pittsburgh @ Tennessee - Pick = Titans
- Don't be suprised if the Titans are a 10 + win team this year. The offense isn't a power house, but with how dynamic of a player CJ2K is, they don't need Vince Young to be outstanding. Plus, in between picking up where he left off last season, and appearing as Lil' Wayne's doppleganger at the ESPYS earlier this summer, #28 looked like he hadn't skipped a beat in a week 1 win against Oakland. Also, don't count on the Steelers fill-in-while-Rothlisberger-rapes-sluts QB Dennis Dixon to move the ball much considering he couldn't week 1. Not in Pittsburgh? Not winning.

(3) UPSET CITY - Miami @ Minnesota - Pick = Miami
- Really going out on a limb here, but that's what makes the NFL so exciting. The Vikes have had 10 days off since their disappointing week 1 loss, so they will either be really polished, or even more rusty. Bottom line is Minnesota's D line wore down against the Saints in the second half, and you know Miami is going to stick to pounding the rock with their wildcat formations. A healthy Brown and Williams all day for Miami. Plus, everyone keeps forgetting the Dolphins now has a legit big play receiver in Brandon Marshall. This upset pick is a stretch, but it could happen.

(4) Houston @ Washington - Pick = Texans
-Not gonna lie, it's been hard NOT to jump on the Texans bandwagon recently. They nearly made the playoffs last season, and coming into 2010 I still view them as a postseason dark horse - and that was before we all got to see how good RB Arian Foster can be. They finally beat Indy a week ago, and although the new look Skins should keep it interesting, the combo of QB Matt Schaub and WR Andre Johnson just may be a little too much for Washington's weak secondary. It's tough to favor the road team in the NFL, but I think Houston looks complete as ever. Anyone else still think Reggie Bush should have went before stud pass rusher Mario Williams? Not so much.

(5) Chicago @ Dallas - Pick = Cowboys
- You can bet your smelly bottom dollar that Dallas isn't losing it's first two games, especially after they should have won week 1 against Washington. The Bears got lucky as fuck by beating the Lions - who got screwed on what should have been the game winning touchdown catch by Calvin Johnson. Bottom line is Dallas is better then they looked last week and they should show that today. Not to mention, Bears QB Jay Cutler has been too busy studying girlfriend Kristen Cavallari's box, instead of his offensive playbook. So that begs the question, who can blame him? She's a minx and a half.
