Yahoo.com - The Heisman Trophy Trust is expected to strip former University of Southern California star running back Reggie Bush of college football’s top honor by the end of September, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Bush would become the first player in the 75-year history of the award to have the trophy taken away. The NCAA found major violations in the Trojans’ football program in June and levied serious sanctions against the school.

Been hearing about this for awhile now and it seems to be drawing to conclusion. The championship memories of my high school USC bromance with the likes of Pete Carroll, Matt Leinart, Steve Smith, Lendale White and Reggie Fucking Bush are slowly but surely being wiped from the record books. The NCAA has damned Bush's actions like an angry ex-girlfriend, forcing USC to remove any reminder of the athlete's presence at the university. Statistics have been wiped clean while the status of the 2004 BCS national title is still in limbo.

It's a shame really. Great team, player and championship efforts are enough to bring in new fans and help fortify a sport and its following. Now, because of Bush's douche bag-gary we are forced to look back in question of the legitimacy of our fanships and memories. Similar to steroids in baseball and gambling in basketball, violating the sanctity of the game pisses fans off more than ever and while Bush is off making his millions in the NFL; USC students/athletes, faculty, alumni and fans are left holding the bag. Fuck all that.

So sure, you can call Matt Leinart a bum for busting it up in the NFL. Lendale White deserves shit too as he wasted opportunities in maintaining a dream job that countless people would die for. Even Pete Carroll gets expletives thrown his way for leaving USC while probation and sanctions loomed, but in truth Bush is the worst of all the afore mentioned. Vince Young shouldn't be awarded the 2005 Heisman nor Oklahoma the 2004 BCS title but the punishments seem to unfairly punish others rather than Bush himself and I'm good on that.

P.S. - Don't expect the seriousness to continue. This shit just gets me heated.
