Arizona Cardinals at Atlanta Falcons - Pick: Dirty Birds
The Falcons lost a tough one last week and understandably so but the Cardinal's defense is nothing like Pittsburgh's and should bode well for Matt Ryan and Michael Turner. The Cards were lucky to have beaten the Rams last week. Lets not forget, rookie quarterback Sam Bradford had a shot at leading a gaming winning drive in the final minute of the game. If you struggled holding down the Rams well then you are gonna have even more trouble holding down the Falcons. The Falcons field a respectable pass defense and Derek Anderson is NOT GOOD. I'm expecting a Falcon win in addition to them covering the 6 1/2 point spread.
Jacksonville Jaguars at San Diego Super Chargers - Pick: Chargers
Friendly confines and better weather conditions are just what the doctor ordered for Norv Turner and Philip Rivers. I'm not buying the hype that Vincent Jackson is the ultimate game changer for the Chargers seeing as Ryan Mathews, Antonio Gates and Legedu Naanee are all versatile weapons for Phil-bo's disposal. Did people miss that Naanee hauled in 5 receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown week 1. If the Chargers defense and special teams can prevent the big play that doomed them against the Chiefs, then the weak Jag offense should be playing catch up all game long. Go Chargers, Go!
Philadelphia Eagles at Detroit Lions - Pick: Eagles
I'd like to start this pick by saying, FUCK PHILLY. Now that I've gotten that off my chest, I'm expecting Michael Vick to take the bull by the horns and really take advantage of his first NFL start since being jailed for dog fighting. This is not only an audition for still making a career in the NFL it's also an audition to be the Eagles starting quarterback whether Andy Reid like's it or not. If you watched the game last week, Vick fell just short of leading an improbable comeback and was quoted after the game that he felt the Eagles would have won if he had started all 4 quarters. Well here's you chance Mike. Go get it. The Eagles should be able to cover the 6 point spread as well.
New England Patriots at New York Jets - Pick: Jets
UPSET ALERT: Everyone is ready to throw Rex Ryan to the dogs but I'm not ready to give up on the Jets yet. Yea the Ravens are a good team but the Jets only lost by one point. Even without Kris Jenkins the Jets held it down, stopping the run. The Patriots looks nice after picking apart the Bengals but Bengal D ain't no Rexy D. The Jets will stop the lack of rungame New England fields and Revis will shut down "the slouch" but Welker will be a thorn in the Jets side. Can the Jets finally get a win in THE NEW GIANTS STADIUM? Rex wants to make it home. Adam gets brick! Turnover battle decides the game.
New York Giants at Indianapolis Colts - Pick: Giants
Eli is a competitive son of a bitch and wants to beat Peyton really bad. It'll be hugs and kisses before and after the game but come game time its fucking business. Arian Foster torched Indy and now Bob Sanders is out; good things for Big Blue running tandem and I have complete faith in Eli being able to handle the pass defense. Tuck Co. Defense will have to be the X-factor and step up and stop The MVP. I'm following my baby bro roots and sticking with Eli, evening the Manning Bowl record at 1-1. Go Giants!- R.C. Suessmandzadeh
