UPI - MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif., Aug. 18 (UPI) -- A three-time Olympian from California says the two-piece bikinis sported by many beach volleyball players are more than fashion, they're function.
Holly McPeak 39, who brought home the bronze from the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, said players are given the option of wearing a more modest one-piece uniform but that choice comes with some uncomfortable side-effects, ABC News reported Monday. "When you dive, the sand goes down the top and collects in the bottom," she said.
So who else couldn't agree more with these statements by Miss Holly McPeak? Anyone? Any naysayers out there? I know haters are gonna hate, but Holly McPeak is just right on point here. Dead on. When the SportsBrah's drop some Brah-spels to you lovely ladies and super smut loving bros, there are always certain principles we live and breathe by: (1) sparking the right end is a must (2) Never abandon a bro in need, and most importantly (3) All chicks who play beach volleyball should absolutely be rocking bikinis. Yep, that about settles it. No if, ands, or buts about it if you ask me.
This Holly McPeak is just a wonderful woman in every sense of the word. An accomplished athlete, a spokesperson for her sport, and now a pioneer in volleyball outfits. I mean, she's gotta be kidding with "A one piece uniform...comes with some uncomfortable side-effects." Come on lady, what do you think us guys are fools? We all know this has nothing to do with being able to maneuver on the court. These chicks are in phenomenal shape, and I doubt a one piece stretchy suit is going to hinder an Olympic athlete who trains for their sport countless hours a day. Give Dbl-A a break and just be honest. Listen, besides being gifted ballers, the bottom line is these volleyball players are still girls and what makes a woman tick more then fashion and obsessing over their looks? The answer, other then lip gloss and shoe shopping, is nothing. These chicks may have their eyes set on a fat gold medal, but you cant tell me they aren't wondering what the fans think of their appearance. Obviously they want to flaunt their skills and hot bods to the bros. That goes without saying. Human nature 101. But, even more then that, these lady volleyballers wanna blow every other girl within a 50 mile vicinity out of the damn water. Lean and mean legs, 6 pack abs, butts that have muscles on their muscles, just some crazy shit. So Holly, I hear you loud and clear and I think your on to something. They wanna look hot and rock a two piece while trying to cop Olympic gold? Well I say to each his/her own.
